The heat of the crackling fire soothed
Link's sore muscles as he rested by the fire in the kitchen of the
Knight Academy. The Hylian Shield sat on the floor next to him,
resting against the bench of the table. It seemed odd for his shield
to be unaccompanied by a sword as the Master Sword now rested within
the Sealed Temple. He missed the companionship of Fi, though he knew
she would be well protected within the temple.
He groaned and stretched out with his
back against the table, hoping to crack his aching back. Each and
every movement he made felt like a harrowing effort, each more

Link slowly made his way into the courtyard where Zelda stood with her back turned; she sat on the fountain's edge, holding a white rose. He was struck by guilt for leaving her alone after the Final Battle.
The girl sighed, and as she turned around, Link stood in front of her. She jumped at the sight of the sudden visitor.
"Link? Is that you?"
He smiled, "In the flesh and blood, Princess."
"You came here all the way from Ordon?"
He nodded.
"My goddesses! That's three and a half days of travel!"
"I was willing to do it, Princess."
"Wow, it's amazing, I haven't seen you since Midna left for the Twilight Realm."
She saw the sadness spre

Months had passed since the two realms have been separated, permanently, thanks to the Twilight Princess herself. The insane usurper, Zant, has been banished, defeated by the Hero of Hyrule. Yet, the princess couldn't shake off this layer of uneasiness that stubbornly hugged her skin.

Link sat outside picking blades of grass. He knew he had better things to be doing but he was so busy lately he just wanted to take a break. He picked a long one and stared at it sharply. A grasshopper landed on him. He looked down at the bug. He thought of Agitha the bug princess. He picked it off his leg and held it gently in his hands. He walked through the castle town gates and down the back road. "Mr. Grasshopper," he said. "Do you think I should propose to Zelda today? I mean, hey, we've been together since we beat Ganondorf." He stopped dead in his tracks. A child ran into him. The k

Nearly one month after the Great Battle of Eldin, celebrations of the Hyrulean victory had done anything but decline. For so long so many had lived in fear and without guidance, but now their lands had been freed and their princess returned. The boards across so many Castle Town homes had been removed and the blue and red banners flew high, whistling songs of gentle winds. The sun shone down on the folk like a kind mother bringing warmth, and the birds soared through the white wisps of clouds merrily.
It was on a day much like thi
